Lido Cinema in Hawthorn and the Fantastic Film Festival Australia are once again hosting a nude cinema event. This time it is for the 1997 film, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.

This is a once only screening at 5pm on Sunday 11th May 2025. Ticket price is $26.95, including booking fee, paid directly to Lido Cinema. There are also concession tickets. All ticket enquiries are to be directed to Lido Cinema. Details are on the link below.

We are also planning an optional meal at a nearby restaurant, details below.

# NUDE SCREENING

Oh behave! We’re bringing back our popular nude screening event with a groovy presentation of the absolutely shagadelic comedy classic Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Swedish-made penis enlarger pumps will be checked at the door.

It’s 1997 and British superagent (and world-class playboy) Austin Powers is revived from a cryogenic chamber, having been frozen 30 years earlier. His mission is to stop supervillain Dr. Evil – who also had himself frozen back in 1967 – from continuing with his diabolical plan for world domination. But the world has changed drastically in the last 30 years, and both Austin and Evil must adapt to modern times. Luckily, Austin has the gorgeous agent Vanessa Kensington to help him adjust.

Often cited as one of the best comedies of all time, this pitch-perfect parody of James Bond and other 1960s pop culture ephemera spawned two hilarious sequels, contributed a host of catchphrases into the cultural lexicon, and inspired everyone to have absolutely smashing 60s-themed dress-up parties for years afterwards.

Nude Screening Guidelines

• Please sit on a towel or clothing, and not directly on the cinema seats
• Respect other patrons’ personal space – antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated
• No photography
• Clothing is required should you wish to leave the cinema for candy bar items or the bathroom
• If you need assistance from a staff member, please pop on clothes and head to the cinema candy bar or box office
• This event is restricted to patrons 18+

OPTIONAL RESTAURANT AFTER FILM

We plan to make a booking for 12 people at the Thien Nam Vietnamese and Chinese Restaurant, 708 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn. This restaurant is a short walk from the Lido Cinemas. On previous occasions, we have used this restaurant and people have generally been happy with it.

Our booking is planned for 7.15pm and the restaurant remains open until 9.30pm.
